The Save the Dam Mill Group has a great leadership team with a wide variety of professional and not-for-profit-experience.
Celia Hunter
Celia Hunter has served as president of the Millbrook and Cavan Historical Society since 2011, and has been recognized by Peterborough County with a Heritage Recognition Award for her commitment to and effectiveness in promoting the value of local history.
Alex Bushell
Alex’s parents were heavily involved in the group that saved the Mill back in the 80’s and is now following in their footsteps.
A long standing member of the group, he now manages the online and social media helping to spread awarness.
Marion Little
Marion has a background in non-profit leadership, fund-raising, grant-writing, program planning, project management, community engagement, and conflict resolution. She teaches these topics through the University of Victoria’s School of Public Health and Social Policy on-line programs.”
Angie McLean
Angie McLean and her family moved to Millbrook 10 years ago and have never looked back!
Teacher by day, she is involved in multiple community groups and committees but has been an active member of the Save the Dam Mill Pond Group since 2011.
Angie helps with researching, preparing presentations, writing articles and keeping people informed about current issues with the Millbrook Dam and Needler’s Mill.
Robert Jackson
Fundraising co-ordination, website design and supplemental project management to the overall Needler’s Mill project.
David Hobson
David Hobson is a local resident and will be acting as project manager for phase one of the project.
Grace Glass
Grace is a local artist, teacher and environmentalist. She has lived in Millbrook since 1975 and is a founding member of the Millbrook Gallery, Millbrook’s Community Garden and the Millbrook Farmers Market. She was also a member of the Save the Mill Committee responsible for the first restoration of Needler’s Mill in the early 1980s.
