DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the opening of the Local History and Archives Centre!\nThe MCHS has entered into a lease agreement with the municipality for the use of one of the south-facing upper floor classrooms at the Old Millbrook School.\nThe space features exhibits and meeting space\, offers research opportunities\, and gives us room for ongoing digitization of records including photographs\,\nnewspapers and documents. \nOur Grand Opening takes place on Thursday\, September 17\, 2-4pm\, in collaboration with the Township’s Open House\, celebrating the renovation and preservation work undertaken with the support of provincial and federal funding.
